It's amazing how there are so many Star Ocean midis there are out there, but none of the Expel overworld themes really managed to capture the ambiance of the original, even though most of them got the notes right.
This sequence was created from an earlier sequence created by an unidentified fellow music lover. She/he got the ambiance down pat, but I noticed two or three glaring errors, most notably the rhythm of the main melody. After fixing those, I also found that only the very first part of the song was sequenced... so I did the entire other half of it from |

Energy Nede Overworld Theme Midi sequence (in progress - 45% complete) |
When I went out to search for Star Ocean midis, I found just about every tune imaginable from the game... except, to my surprise, the Energy Nede Overworld theme! Sure, it may not be as pleasantly grandiose as the Expel theme, but in my opinion it's still just as cool. I'm sequencing this midi in a very similar manner to the Expel theme. |
