Some of the most challenging costumes people took on at the con were characters from Saber Marionette J.  Cosplaying a marionette requires that you construct a complicated outfit involving huge colored balls in one's head and oversized shoes that squeak, with wooden slats on the bottom.  Quite a lot of obstacles to overcome, but these four did it very well!

Another one of those photos with marginal lighting, but in my opinion this was one of the best costumes at the convention. ^^  She even managed to make that heavy rope "bow" that hangs from Bloodberry's back!  Very cool.

From left to right (not including the fun-lovin' non-cosplayers in back), we have Lime, Otaru, Bloodberry, and Cherry.  Note that both Lime's and Otaru's oversized shoes are made from scratch, and even have wooden slats like they do in the actual anime! Additionally, although you can't tell from a picture, Cherry's shoes authentically squeaked... O_o You could tell this group was coming before any of them rounded the corner! ^_^
