The Lost Civilization:
12,000 B.C.
No one knows of it's existance. It's been said that after it's fall, the Lost Civilization of Anteslius collapsed beneath the waves, never to be seen again. Before the city was built, the Anteslans somehow survived the cold, until a mysterious occurance caused them to find the a tropical paradise at the top of a giant waterfall. Aside from this one area, the world was an empty, frozen wasteland, devoid of human life. Or was it...?
Era notes:
Magic: |
Magic is a forbidden art in this place...it is said that only the Chosen have the holy right to practice it, enforced by law. Anteslius has experienced great prosperity and wonderful creations, but how did it come to be so? No one really seems to know; they can only trust the Chosen and the High Ones to direct the actions of the city. The common belief is that only they can use their wisdom and magic to continue the prosperity of the Continent... |
Technology: |
Technology is a sort of enigma in this era. Surprisingly unique creations are found everywhere across the kingdom, but the people of the city seem to have almost no conventional knowledge of science or mechanics. Many of their devices look extremely archaic, but are based on great sources of power...what are they, and how can they be handled?... |
